Literally. Alida’s gagging and spit up sessions are becoming more infrequent and less severe. Hope is the nurse again today. She asked Alida, “Are we going to be friends today?” Alida gave her a big smile. “Should we try the pacifier?” More smiles. We tried her pacifier from home this time instead of the hospital one. She played around with the tip for a little bit, trying to remember what to do. And then she pulled it into her mouth. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11! Way to go big girl. She did it again, 10 more sucks. Finally she gagged. It’s progress; big progress.
Both girls were awake and content so we gave them some time in the crib together again.
Lucie has been pretty consistent about sleeping six hours. She looks adorable in the new outfit I got at Target this week.
I ordered Christmas stockings and a tree skirt for our family. I had them shipped to the Ronald house so I could decorate our room. It’s not quite like home, but it’s better than nothing.
